These terms govern your use of Bible Alarm ("the app"). "We" and "us" mean the team that publishes it. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms of Use. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the app for anything unlawful.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, attack or gain unauthorised access to the app or any service it relies on.
- Do not remove or obscure any copyright or attribution notice in the app.
Price
Bible Alarm is free. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription. If that changes in a future version, these terms will be updated before it ships.
Content
Scripture in Bible Alarm is drawn from the Berean Standard Bible, the King James Version, the World English Bible, the American Standard Version and the New English Translation. Each translation remains the property of its rights holder and is used under its own licence terms. The devotional readings and questions around the Scripture are written by us and are offered for personal reflection, not as authoritative teaching.
Availability
The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of defects, and features may change or be withdrawn between versions.
Disclaimer and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Reliance on the app
Bible Alarm schedules alarms through Apple's AlarmKit, but an alarm still depends on your device: it will not ring if the device is powered off, out of battery, or if you revoke the app's alarm permission in Settings. Do not rely on Bible Alarm alone for anything where failing to wake would be dangerous or costly.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
